Environmental Facilities Management Roundtable

EFMR was founded in 2019 by corporate real estate executives responsible for environmental health & safety and sustainability operations to bridge the gap in knowledge sharing, education, and innovation within the industry. Through cross-company dialogue, collaboration, and networking via virtual forums and in-person events, EFMR’s mission is to establish performance benchmarks, discuss emerging challenges and innovations, and share best practices.

Facility management professionals often work in isolation within their companies, with few peers who understand the complexities of environmental operations management. This is particularly true for non-industrial companies with large real estate portfolios, where the Environmental function may be embedded in other departments such as real estate, human resources, or risk management.

This inaugural forum provides a platform for collaboration, performance benchmarking, and knowledge sharing among facilities environmental management professionals. We have identified a lack of trade groups specifically for non-industrial Environmental Professionals managing large real estate footprints and aim to close this gap.
